Hydraulic Oil Reservoir and Fuel Tank Solutions for Off Road Vehicles from the IFH Group

This heavy-duty telescopic forklift has an IFH Group hydraulic oil reservoir with a capacity of 45 gallons.

The IFH Group is one of the USA’s largest manufacturers of hydraulic oil reservoirs and built to print fuel tanks for OEM application., for off-road and specialty vehicles used in agricultural, construction, military, and other “off-highway” applications. Each reservoir and tank is customized to meet exact customer designs and applications, with available capacities ranging from 1 to more than 300 gallons.

“If you need a fuel tank or hydraulic fluid containment system  for your specific application, we’re the company to contact,” said Ryan McCarty, Director of Sales and Marketing. The IFH Group manufactures reservoirs, hydraulic tanks, and custom fluid containers of all types in a range of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and aluminized steel—whichever is best suited to the application, from forklifts and aerial lifts to earth boring equipment.

The IFH Group pioneered the use of aluminized steel—a unique blend of mild sheet steel hot-dip coated on both sides with an aluminum-silicon alloy—to solve the contamination problems inherent in uncoated steels. This advanced material combines the corrosion and rust resistance of aluminum with the structural strength and lower cost of steel. Aluminized steel tanks are resistant to virtually all petroleum-based and synthetic fluids, including hydraulic fluid, while providing reliable protection from atmospheric corrosion.

All reservoirs and tanks are delivered clean and pressure-tested. Once the tank or reservoir is complete, the company can provide powder coating, CARC (chemical agent resistant coating), and sub-assembly, including the addition of component parts such as fill caps, filters, sight gauges, sending units, hoses, and other reservoir accessories. “We offer everything from a simple two-part tank strap to hydraulic reservoir tanks with more than 60 different parts,” McCarty noted. “The more we can do for our customers, the fewer vendors they need to manage—making their business simpler and more cost effective.”

The IFH Group also provides on-site design and assembly assistance, as well as standardization of materials and components required in customers’ reservoirs and tanks. This ensures a broad inventory at The IFH Group’s facility, ready for immediate build, quick assembly, and fast delivery—helping customers maintain productivity and keep their hydraulic systems operating reliably.
